PASITHEA General Assembly Meeting at INOV, Lisbon, Portugal 10-11 July 2024

We are pleased to announce that the PASITHEA project has successfully concluded its recent two-day General Assembly meeting, held on the 10th and 11th of July 2024 at INOV’s headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal. This significant event convened all project partners, as industry experts, and visionaries committed to advancing the future of the HAUV system.

The Consortium used this opportunity to discuss important issues regarding the project since most of the WPs have already started and more workings have been commenced, as well as administrative matters, and the status of the workings.

The main focus of this meeting was on the design structure of the HAUV. NTUA presented the tools that will be used and the procedures that will be followed for the aero/hydrodynamic analyses of the HAUV, as well as corresponding results for some initial geometric shapes of the HAUV to provide a feeling about the order of magnitude of the expected drag. NTUA, CATEC and A.S. Prote Maritime Ltd presented their initial design concept of the HAUV, with many similarities among the three proposals. Moreover, a discussion was held regarding the procedure of reaching the final HAUV design.

Next steps:
The Consortium agreed to hold the next General Assembly in January 2024 in Athens, Greece.
